Dedicated to enhancing our community.

Since March 3, 1989, Michele & Tom Maiden’s Insurance Outfitters® has been committed to building a safer, greener, better educated, diverse and inclusive Shepherdstown, West Virginia, and West Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley – Berkeley and Jefferson County. Our intent is to be a good corporate citizen where we live and serve.
Since March 3, 1989

The annual Insurance Outfitters® Guide Awards are scheduled around the risk management & insurance planning practice’s anniversary, March 3rd. The Insurance Outfitters® Guide Awards were developed to thank those people and organizations who may not make the front-page news, but who change the world around us for the better in the following categories:

Conservation and Outdoor Recreation
Culture and the Arts
Education
Health and Human Services

In addition to the annual Guide Awards, Insurance Outfitters® also participates in the Adopt-A-Highway Program, co-sponsored by the West Virginia Division of Highways and the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, with three cleanups a year along the two miles between Shepherdstown and the Berkeley County line.

Michele & Tom Maiden also make the Insurance Outfitters® campus available (free of charge) to non-profits, educational, religious and youth groups for outdoor fundraising activities. Its great visibility and street traffic make it an awesome location for car washes, yard sales and plant sales. Groups also have access to a restroom and kitchenette.
